You can place Express Bids during the preview period of a Live Auction. Express Bids allow you to be away from your computer during the Live auctions. Like all bids, Express Bids are binding and cannot be retracted nor reduced.

In our auctions you can submit the maximum amount you want to bid, but our system will only bid the incremental amount on your behalf, to keep you ahead up to your maximum bid. If the bidding stops before you have reached your maximum, then you own the equipment for less then your maximum bid. No other bidders will ever know what your maximum bid is. Automatic email notification will be sent to you if your Express Bid gets outbid during the Live auction preview. You can view or increase the maximum amount of your Express Bids at any time in the Buying tab of My Account.

When you place an Express Bid, the price of an item does not change until the auction opens. As soon as you place an Express Bid, you will be told if your Express Bid is the highest. If competing Express Bids are placed for the same price, the earliest bid takes precedence, so submitting your Express Bid early gives you an advantage. You can place an Express Bid online any time day or night, or by fax during our regular hours.
