How To Buy

Each year hundreds of millions of equipment is sold all over North America through the different auction companies. Most of these auctions are done at a location, where the equipment is moved from the different sellers who want to sell their equipment. You have to be physically present to bid on these items, some, however do provide some form of online bidding. Most of the equipment sold on these auctions is painted to make the equipment look good, and there is no inspection of any kind conducted on the equipment being sold. So unless you take the time to thoroughly inspect each and every item, there is no assurance from the auction company as to what you are buying.

We at Iron Globe Auctions Ltd. have addressed this issue and have devised our Iron Globe Pledge, which assures you that each and every item that is being sold, as an inspected item will be thoroughly inspected by our independent, qualified, licensed, trained technicians and/or mechanics and that all potential buyers will have an opportunity to read the inspection report and view the equipment online. You will also be able to take advantage of our rating system, which will rate the equipment based on certain criteria. See our rating system.

Before you are able to bid you must be registered and qualified to buy.

Iron Globe Auctions Ltd. offers two types of auctions, the Live auction and the 7Day auction.

Live Auctions
In the Live auction you can bid online in real-time as an item is being auctioned, or you can send in your Express Bid in advance of the auction. The Express Bid that you submit should be the maximum amount that you want to bid on that item, however, our proprietary system will only bid the incremental amount on your behalf, to keep you ahead up to your maximum bid. If the bidding stops before you have reached your maximum, then you own the equipment for less then your maximum bid. No other bidders will ever know what your maximum bid is.

On the day of a Live Auction, each item is available for bidding for a ten (10) minute period, and multiple items may be available at the same time. Any successful bid placed within the last three minutes of an auction will extend the auction by three minutes. An auction can be extended multiple times, until there have been three minutes without bidding activity.

When a Live Auction closes, the highest bidder owns the item. Iron Globe Auctions Ltd. will handle the collection and payment of funds between the buyer and seller. Iron Globe Auctions Ltd. also has a selection of partners who can help with the transportation as well as financing and leasing of equipment purchased in an Iron Globe Auction.

7Day Auctions
In the 7Day auction, the seller has the option to put a minimum price that will be acceptable for the item, and the item will be listed for a (7) day period. You can bid anytime while the item is being auctioned, based on the incremental bids established for that item, or you can bid the maximum amount you will pay for that item, and our unique system will bid on your behalf only in the increments that have been set for that item. You will of course, be able to watch the bidding and the action taking place on the item you have bid on. When the reserve price, if there is any, is reached the seller is obligated to sell the item to the highest bidder.

If the reserve price has not been met at the close of a 7Day Auction, a seller will have the option of reducing the price, or accepting the highest bid on the item. Iron Globe Auctions Ltd. will work with the buyer and seller to accomplish this task.
